Paper Sundaes Challenge #45 - A Sketch

So this challenge asked that you use the following sketch

I really liked this sketch as it allowed for a lot of activity.  I love mixing and matching papers with embellishments.  I love that the you can take a sketch like this and go a million different directions with one change.  Here is what I cam up with.

Vintage Love Blog Hop

We were asked to complete a project using the sketch assigned.  I tried a new digital stamp that I really liked and used papers fitting for vintage.  And have to use lace for a vintage in my opinion.

What a Weekend!

So this weekend I made sure to take time to get some scrappin done.  It was not easy with a 4 year old in tow, but thank goodness for naptime.  So here is what I managed to get done.

So I have been holding on to this sticky fabric paper waiting for the right reason to use it.  Then I got this picture of my niece and I went for it.  She is so Cute.

This card was my attempt at a new technique.  I really liked how these trifold cards looked so I made this one for thanksgiving.

Please share with me what you think about this weekends endeavors.

Feathered Friends

I had all weekend to work in my craft room and boy did I enjoy it.  One of the last projects i did was to make a magnet, using my cricut to cut it(boy was this challenging). I wanted it to be fun and bright and have several different techniques on it. I used WE R Memory Keepers Precious Metal Collection called Silver Linings. For this project I stamped, bedazzled, tied ribbon, used rub ons, and added little tiny beads.  I 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge to cut all my letters at 3.5 " width.  This was a challenge for me but i think it came out cute.

CropChocolate.com Online Crop - Challenge #3

I have long since been wanting to learn how to make these cute easel cards and this contest got motivated to learn.  I used Bo Bunny Winter Joy Collection paper and Polar Ride stamp from Stampendous for this project. I used flower soft for the snow and a 3d sticker I have had for awhile. Purple is my favorite color and Christmas is my favorite holiday so it only seems natural they should go together.  What do you think of the final project?

Scrapbook Challenges By the Number Challenge

The goal of this challenge was to use:

~ 4 Photos
~ An element of red
~ A piece of ribbon
~ Some stitching (machine or hand!)

So I came up with this layout for The Petting Zoo.

I used the Creative Imaginations Debbie Mumm Wild West Collection for my paper. I cut a 5" Cowboy from the Old West Cricut Cartridge, with a piece of rope/ribbon for his hat. And I used the I-rock pearls on his overalls and of course a yellow star eyelet.  I have been unsure what to do with these pictures for forever.  I really love the final result.

Autumn Splendor Cricut Challenge

Weekly Challenge #3

So we were asked to create a layout, card, home decor, etc.  It needed to have a color scheme of Gray, burgundy, tan, and orange.  It had to have 2 cuts with the cricut and the sky was the limit.  So as we went to the Pumpkin Patch Saturday I chose a fall layout.  I used the Hello Kitty Font for the title with the Blackout Shadow.  The sign was made with the H2O cartridge, sunflower with Stretch Your Imagination, the vine came from Zoo Baloo, and the Pumpkins came from Simply Charmed.  I cut the tree out a little on the other page to accommodate a mat for a 5x7 picture.  I used Glossy Accents on the dots going up around the tree to give them a little umph.  This paper was too pretty to cover it up.

Halloween Cards

Well today I was on a halloween kick.  My original push in this direction came from the Jitterbuggin Challenge ( which I created Oscar the Grouch for) .  Once I got going I could not stop.  So for Oscar I used Sesame Street, Basketball cartridge.

The Second Card I used some beaded ribbon and a fun sticker.  This layout is a little more simple, but I really lived the way it came out.  And then finally I used this great halloween stamp from Michaels.  I liked the shape of this card it is a little something different.

Cricut Circle Weekly Challenge

What did I love about this weeks challenge?  Let's see Pink, Jewels, Glitter, and my precious dog Billie Joe.  I have been wanting to try to use these leaves in a layout for some time.  So they were my initial piece in the design.  I cut the flourishes using the Serenade cartridge at 6" wide. The shadow paper is pink and then I used a double sided sticky paper for the front.  I covered it with Martha Stewart Brownstone Glitter.  Really I love anything pink with extra bling, but the main reason I love this layout is my dog Billie Joe.  While she is no longer with me she holds a special place in my heart.

Cricut Circle Monthly Challenge

So it was a busy weekend ( as usual), but I managed to squeeze in some scrapbooking time.  So here is one of the projects I worked on.  I have had this picture to add to my scrapbook for a while, but never found motivation to start on it.  The thought of winning a workbox from The Original Scrapbox did just the trick.  I really love how this came out.  I used bright colors and really tries to tie several different techniques in.  I cut all the words using Basecamp cricut cartridge and used jewels for the I's.  This was really fun and I love the big flower in the corner.  I can't wait until the next time mom, aunt ethel and I get together to scrap.  Which will be in January at the Beach Retreat hosted by GiGi's Scrapbookin.  Yippee!!

Jitterbuggin Challenge - An Apple a Day

This weeks challenge was a nice change of pace.  I simplified my usual habits and really liked the final product.  The colors were bright and happy and of course I had to use a little bling or it could not have come from me.

Going Places Labor Day 2010 Contest

I decided to participate in this challenge in the Cricut Circle Forum.  It turned out to be quite a challenge.  You were to create a Layout including your Labor Day Plans.  Todd and I decided to stay home and have Movie Night with pizza, popcorn and of course our favorite Toy Story Characters.  We had a blast!  When it came time to create I was excited to use my new Toy Story Cartridge.  It was a major undertaking and took me 4.5 hours to put these guys together; but I think they turned out great.  Todd helped pick out the paper and ribbons, he was as excited as I was.

Sketch 16 - My Favorite Things

This challenge came from Jitterbuggin Challenge.  We were instructed to follow the sketch using our favorite things (colors, subject, and cricut).  So I chose my favorite colors purple, pink, and blue.  And a butterfly that I cut from the new 3 Birds on Parade Cartridge.  I also flocked the blue bird body and used Glossy Accents to give it a little umph.  I love pansies so I made some from paper which I thought turned out pretty well.  And of course I love all things sparkly.  I really enjoyed this challenge and have a great card to boot.
